Import Catalog Dialog
The Import Catalog dialog lets you restore catalog information stored in a catalog backup file.
Accessed when:
- You select the Import Catalog icon from the Catalog Manager.

| Catalog File | In the
Catalog File field, use the
Browse button to locate and select the
catalog backup file (.ctlg extension).
When logged into a ProjectWise managed workspace the PW icon displays the following dialog where you can select a catalog from the ProjectWise managed workspace: |
| Target Path | In the
Target Path field, use the
Browse button to locate and select the
folder where you wish to restore the catalog (or the folder containing the
existing catalog into which you wish to restore the items).
If you are logged into ProjectWise this path will be populated with the path to default catalog directory in the managed workspace. You can click the PW icon to browse to a different folder in ProjectWise in which to save the catalog. |
| Catalog Name | If you are going to restore the backup as a separate catalog, enter the name that you wish the restored catalog to have in this field. |
| To Existing Catalog | If you wish to restore the backed up items into an existing catalog, select the To Existing Catalog check-box, then select the desired catalog in the Existing Catalog field. |
Select OK to restore the backed up items.
